Early Learning Quality
The Kids Hope Alliance maintains a staff of early learning coaches who work to transform childcare centers into high quality early learning care programs utilizing the Guiding Stars of Duval (GSOD) quality rating and improvement system.
Through a collaborative partnership, coaches, team leaders and staff work directly with childcare center owners, directors and teachers to provide training and technical assistance related to leadership, assessments and quality components of an early learning center.
Early learning outcomes are measured using the following tools:
- GSOD quality rating and improvement system (elcofduval.org);
- VPK Readiness Rate (vpk.fldoe.org);
- Child Outcomes: Bracken Basic Concept Scale, Test of Preschool Early Literacy, VPK Assessment;
- Number of teachers who raise their education level (CDA Credential) (cdacouncil.org)
