KHA Receives $4 Million for Pediatric Medical and Mental Health
Kids Hope Alliance (KHA) received a $4M Children’s Mental Health System of Care (SOC) grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to provide integrated physical and behavioral health services for children in Jacksonville. This grant will build on prior SAMHSA awards received by KHA to expand access to care for children and youth experiencing severe emotional disturbances and mental illness. This grant will be administered by the Partnership for Child Health (Partnership), a KHA collaborating partner who has implemented the SAMHSA SOC grants since Jacksonville received the first award in 2010.

DLC Nurse and Learn Celebrates 30 Years of Service
On Thursday, September 12th, supporters of local non-profit DLC Nurse and Learn gathered at the Riverfront Cafe to celebrate the organization’s 30th anniversary. Pam Tebow, mother of former NFL Quarterback Tim Tebow, spoke at the dinner and fundraiser, which also featured a silent auction.

Citi Teen Center Opens in Springfield
Jacksonville, Fl- On Wednesday, August 28th, 2019, the Boys and Girls Club of Northeast Florida opened the Citi Teen Center in Jacksonville’s historic Springfield neighborhood. Designed to serve local youth between the ages of 13 and 18 after school and during the summer, the Center is one of the few standalone teen centers in Northeast Florida.

KHA and Partners to Provide Meals to Afterschool Programs
