Young writers and performers, the James Weldon Johnson Young Writers Festival and competition is now open. Students in grades 3 through 12 can potentially win more than $6,400 in prizes and scholarships!!

Just submit an original poem or monologue on the theme "Lift Every Voice" or a subject of your choice. The deadline is June 2nd so it's time to start writing!!

Calling All Young Writers & Performers! 

The James Weldon Johnson Young Writers Festival is back — and the Poetry & Monologue Competition is officially open!
